The One Piece anime is returning from its hiatus on April 6, 2025, and a new key visual and trailer has been released to hype up the upcoming comeback.
Announced at Jump Festa 2025, you can see Luffy in his Gear 5 form, as well as other characters such as Imu, Kizaru, Kuma, and more in the visual:

The new trailer shows One Piece in its full HD glory, giving looks of various characters, as well as the upcoming continuation of the Egghead Island arc. Watch it below:
In October this year, Toei Animation announced that the One Piece anime is going on a six-month hiatus. In its place, a remastered version of One Piece’s Fish-Man Island Saga has been releasing episodes weekly. Itโs a re-edit of all 21 episodes that originally aired between 2011 and 2012. It includes โall scenes re-shot plus new animation sequences, including opening and ending themes – featuring a contemporary visual style and recorded in Dolby Atmos.โ
Subaru Kimura Is the New Franky Voice Actor
Also at Jump Festa 2025, ex-Franky voice actor Kazuki Yao initiated Subaru Kimura into the One Piece voice acting cast as the new voice for Franky.

Yao wrote the following on his X account about the departure from the role, which he had been in for 20 years:
โA sad farewell has come. I have to part ways with someone I’ve walked through nearly a quarter-century of life withโฆ It’s like an out-of-body experienceโthere’s now a gap between myself and the ideal Franky I envision. So, I’ve decided to temporarily step off the Sunny. It’s frustrating! It’s heartbreaking!! Iโm truly sorry. But Iโve arranged for a super successor! Please look forward to Jump Festa on December 22 โฌโ
His replacement, Kimura, has voiced some popular anime characters such as Gian from Doraemon, Aoi Todo in Jujutsu Kaisen, and Satori Tendo in Haikyu.
